Dr. O'Brien was a Junior Olympic Gymnast and now is a proud advocate and educator for the LGTBQ community working to not only educate individuals in that community but also working to educate physicians on how to treat their patients who identify with the LGTBQ Community. In this interview, we dive deep into how to connect with patients, the value of problem based learning, and how to treat patients in the LGTBQ Community. I am really excited for you guys to hear this one.
I could not be more excited for you to hear my interview with Jenny Wang, a fourth-year medical student in NYC who is doing research in Dermatology. Many of you may know her as @thevibrantmed on Instagram or from her blog, Thevibrantmed. In this conversation, we dive deep into Jenny’s childhood growing up in Chicago and Shangai and we talk about her premedical years and how her love for medicine stemmed from her passion for science. I really think you guys are going to like this one – she is so connected with why she does what she does that it was inspiring to me! it reminded me of all of the reasons why I first decided to apply to medical school.
